CONTRACT & COPY REGULATIONS

Advertising copy, contracts and orders are subject to the publisher’s acceptance. Publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement that does not conform to the editorial or graphic standards of Community Media Group. Cancellations or changes are not accepted after closing dates. Advertiser or advertising agencies placing media are responsible for payment for all advertising space ordered. If advertiser fails to fulfill contract commitment within specified time frame, advertiser will be charged an additional “short rate” fee. Prepayment required for all advertisers until credit has been established. Contact publisher for credit application.

Advertising should be submitted on disk or via email to advertising@communitymg.com.

Accepted digital formats:

  • Press-optimized PDF files using Acrobat Distiller is the preferred format. Call for Acrobat Distiller job settings. PDFs prepared for Web use are not accepted.
  • EPS or TIFF with all fonts embedded.

Native application files accepted:

  • InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop CS3; Macintosh Format.
  • Use Type 1 PostScript fonts only and include them in your collected files. Do not apply program style menu attributes to basic fonts, e.g. bold, italic, etc. Fonts with program styles applied could default to Courier.
  • Minimum resolution for photographs is 300 dpi at 100% size. Minimum resolution for line art scans is 1200 dpi at 100% size.
  • All art must use  CMYK color modes. Files created in RGB will be converted to CMYK. Community Media Group accepts no responsibility for color accuracy of converted RGB files. Standard two-colors (red and green) and Pantone colors are printed as 4-color process matched.
  • Avoid rotation or cropping of images in layout application.
  • For verification of the final output of your ad, please include a printout or proof as a guide for color matching and breakdown. Community Media Group will not accept responsibility for the integrity of an ad when no printout or proof is provided.
